Sports Minister Gaurav Gautam interacted with the athletes and gathered information about their journey, performance in competitions and preparations ahead. He said honouring medal-winning athletes is not only the responsibility of the government but also the duty of the entire society.

Government Committed to Athletes Under the Leadership of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini

Sports Minister Gaurav Gautam said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, the Haryana Government is committed to promoting athletes and providing them with proper nutrition, better training, good coaches and modern sports infrastructure. The government’s effort is to ensure that athletes in the state do not face any shortage of facilities while developing their talent.

He said there is no dearth of talent in the state; the need is only to provide that talent with the right platform and direction. He said the soil of Haryana has produced numerous international athletes for the country and many more talents from the state will bring glory to the nation at the national and international levels in the coming years.

The government wants Haryana athletes to win more and more medals not only at the national level but also at the Asian, World and Olympic levels.

Rural Talent Will Get a Better Platform

Sports Minister Gaurav Gautam said villages have played an important role in Haryana’s sporting culture. Several international athletes from the state have emerged from rural backgrounds and reached major sporting platforms across the world.

He said the government is paying special attention to ensuring that young people living in villages and small towns also receive world-class facilities. If hidden talent in villages receives appropriate facilities and coaches at the right time, Haryana can produce even more international athletes in the coming years.

Athletes’ Success Will Inspire the Youth

Sports Minister Gaurav Gautam said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is continuously demonstrating its talent and capabilities in sports on the international stage, and Haryana is also playing an important role in this sporting journey.

He said when an athlete wins a medal at the international level, the achievement is no longer merely personal but becomes an achievement of the entire state and country. Such achievements will also attract other young people towards sports, encouraging them to move away from mobile phones and other activities and take to the sporting field.

He clearly conveyed that no stone would be left unturned in honouring and encouraging medal-winning athletes. He urged the athletes to continue their hard work and win medals for the country in upcoming international competitions.
