Chandigarh, September 27:- Haryana Education Minister Shri Mahipal Dhanda said that with the objective of strengthening research, technological advancement and innovation in the state, the guidelines for the "Haryana Patent Support, Commercialisation and Innovation Facilitation Policy 2026-27" have been officially issued. The Education Minister said that the policy will prove to be a milestone for students and researchers studying in all government and government-aided colleges, technical institutions and state universities of the state.
100% Financial Support to Promote Innovation
The Education Minister said that the state government’s aim is not to restrict the youth of the state to knowledge alone, but to inspire them to undertake new research and develop patents of global standards. Under this policy, if any student, researcher or institution registers a patent for their innovation, 100 per cent of the registration fee, up to a maximum of Rs 50,000, will be paid by the Haryana Government.
Guidelines and Implementation Orders Issued
Shri Mahipal Dhanda said that following approval from the competent authority, detailed guidelines related to the scheme have been issued and necessary directions have been sent to all concerned colleges and universities.
The Education Minister has appealed to all educational institutions in the state to activate research and innovation centres on their campuses so that more and more young people can benefit from this encouraging initiative and protect their intellectual property rights.
