Haryana Government’s Horticulture Training Institute, Uchani to Organize 5-Day Training Programmes in October — Online Applications Open

Chandigarh, September 29:- The Horticulture Training Institute, Uchani (Karnal), under the Horticulture Department of the Haryana Government, is organizing five-day training programmes on various horticulture-related subjects during October 2026. Interested candidates from all districts of Haryana can apply online to participate in these training programmes through the official website of the Horticulture Department, kaushal.hortharyana.gov.in.

A government spokesperson said that applicants must be at least 18 years of age and candidates will be selected on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. Registered candidates are required to bring their Aadhaar Card, bank passbook and PAN Card while coming for the training.

Under the scheme, bus fare will be provided to trainees through DBT, while their accommodation and food during the training will be provided completely free of cost. The department has clarified that candidates who have already received training on these subjects should not register again for the same subject.

The first training programme to be held in October will be on “Processing, Preservation and Value Addition in Fruits and Vegetables” from October 5 to 9. Registration for 40 seats will remain open from September 28 at 10:00 AM to October 4 at 5:00 PM. The second programme, “Fruit Production Techniques”, will be organized from October 12 to 16, for which applications for 40 seats can be submitted from September 28 to October 11 at 5:00 PM. During the same period, from October 12 to 16, training on “Nursery Management as per HHN Rules-2026” will be conducted for 20 seats, with applications accepted from October 5 to October 9 at 5:00 PM.

They further said that thereafter, training on “Protected Cultivation of Vegetables and Flowers and Maintenance of Poly House” will be organized from October 19 to 23 for 40 seats, with registration open from October 5 to October 18 at 5:00 PM. In the final phase, training on “Mushroom Production and Post-Harvest Management” will be conducted from October 26 to 30 for 40 seats, with applications accepted from October 16 to October 23 at 5:00 PM.

The spokesperson further said that apart from online applications, candidates can also register by visiting their respective District Horticulture Officer, Horticulture Development Officer or the Horticulture Training Institute, Uchani (Karnal), on working days between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
