Karnal, August 1: MLA and Government Chief Whip Ramkumar Kashyap inaugurated a village peripheral road (*phirni*) constructed at a cost of ?35 lakh and laid the foundation stone for the 'Adi Kavi Maharshi Sanskriti Hall,' to be built at a cost of ?25 lakh, in village Islamnagar on Saturday. Upon his arrival, villagers accorded the MLA a grand welcome with flower garlands.
Addressing the gathering, MLA and Government Chief Whip Ramkumar Kashyap stated that Haryana is moving rapidly on the path of development under the leadership of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. The state government aims to bridge the development gap between rural and urban areas; consequently, basic amenities similar to those in cities are being provided in villages as well. He emphasized that the state government is ensuring equitable development across all regions without any discrimination. Special attention is being paid to expanding roads, community centers, education, healthcare, and other infrastructure to ensure villagers have access to better living facilities.
Shri Kashyap noted that the state government is effectively implementing numerous public welfare schemes for the betterment of every section of society. Guided by the spirit of *Antyodaya* (uplifting the last person in the queue), the government ensures that the benefits of these schemes reach the most marginalized individuals. He urged the villagers to make the most of the government's welfare schemes and to actively cooperate in the village's development initiatives.
Prominent figures present on the occasion included Sarpanch Sangeeta Devi, Sarpanch representative Dharmbir Singh, Booth President Sohanlal, Sarpanch Shashi, Jitendra and Pawan, Panchayat members Baljit, Rajkumar, Rajendra, and Sunil Kumar, Urmila Devi, Rohtas Kamboj, Nambardar Joginder, Rampal Panchal, and Ranveer Singh, along with other dignitaries and a large number of villagers.
