Hansi (Dinkar Gavri):- Hansi Police remained alert throughout the night and conducted intensive checking and patrolling on major roads in the city and surrounding areas to keep a watch on crime and anti-social activities and to effectively curb suspicious activities involving vehicles. Under the able leadership and guidance of Hansi Superintendent of Police Vinod Kumar, police teams set up checkpoints, checked vehicles moving in and out of the area and questioned suspicious persons.
Police spokesperson Sandeep Kumar said that during the checking, police teams inspected 648 vehicles. Documents of vehicle drivers and the vehicles themselves were checked. Action was taken against those violating traffic rules, with 132 challans issued.
The challans included 17 for overspeeding, 40 for driving without helmets, 8 for driving without number plates and 1 for wrong-side driving. Action was also taken as per rules against vehicle drivers found violating other traffic regulations.
During the night checking, police teams kept a special watch on suspicious vehicles and persons. Vehicles were thoroughly checked with the objective of preventing the possible movement of illicit liquor, narcotics, illegal weapons and stolen vehicles. Police presence was maintained on major roads, entry and exit points and sensitive locations.
Hansi Police are continuously strengthening night patrolling and checking arrangements for crime prevention and the safety of the general public. The objective of the action is to keep timely watch on suspicious activities and prevent possible criminal incidents.
