Hansi, October 3 (Dinkar Gawri):- Baba Banda Bahadur Public School, Hansi, inaugurated the month-long ‘Josh – The Spirit of Sports’ on the occasion of the birthday of Baba Jatinder Pal Singh Sodhi. The sports festival is dedicated to the eternal values of courage, justice, equality and service to humanity embodied by Baba Jatinder Pal Singh Sodhi.

The programme began amid great enthusiasm and excitement at the school’s sports ground. To promote the overall development of students and sportsmanship, various competitions including relay race, 100-metre race, lemon race, sack race, slow cycling, remove disposable glass, three-leg race, matki race, shuttle run, thread and needle race, front roll, dodgeball and kho-kho were organised. Vandana, Kanishk, Harshita, Divyansh, Raghav, Shiv, Yuvraj, Kartik, Bhavya, Shubham, Priyansh, Atish, Pavani, Kritika, Gaurisha, Ekta and Mahi secured first positions. In the dodgeball competition, Krishna House students Aarav, Akshit, Siddhant, Tejas, Bhavesh and Kushal secured first position, while Kaveri House students Ojashvi, Arya, Chetasi, Akshita, Tamanna, Yashvi and Navya secured first position. In kho-kho, the students of Krishna House secured first position.

The success of the grand event was credited to the dedicated efforts and guidance of the teachers of the Physical Education Department and all other teachers, whose hard work enabled the students to take every competition to new heights while participating with a strong spirit of sportsmanship.

On the occasion, school Principal Lovely Chawla, Administrator Praveen Chugh and Academic Coordinator Pawan Rawal encouraged the students. The Principal said that sports not only contribute to physical development but also teach discipline, team spirit and the ability to remain patient in difficult circumstances. She motivated the students to perform with true sportsmanship and said that with Baba Ji’s blessings and by following the path shown by him, the students would move towards a healthy, empowered and bright future.

Throughout the event, remarkable enthusiasm, competitive spirit and excitement were witnessed among the students.
