Hoshiarpur:- Local Government Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh specially attended the Junior State Kho-Kho Championship organized at the playground of Rayat Bahra Professional University, Hoshiarpur. On this occasion, he expressed his commitment towards sports and said that sports teach discipline, unity and self-confidence to the young generation and make the society healthy and energetic.
Dr. Ravjot Singh met the players and appreciated their enthusiasm and performance. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab government is making continuous efforts to bring out the sports talent of the state. The government is taking appropriate steps to expand sports facilities across the state, strengthen coaching centers and provide a good platform to the players.
He said that such tournaments play an important role in increasing the popularity of indigenous games like Kho-Kho and bringing out the hidden talent in the villages. The Cabinet Minister also praised the organizing committee for organizing this competition in a brilliant manner.
