Dhuri, August 25:- Chairman of the Punjab Small Industries and Export Corporation, Dalvir Singh Dhillon, said that the Punjab Government is taking all necessary steps to ensure justice for the family of Neha, a resident of Dhuri, who died in a tragic incident. He said Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is personally monitoring the case and strict action will be taken against those found responsible.
Dalvir Singh Dhillon said that, in view of the family’s concerns and to prevent the main accused from fleeing abroad, a Look Out Circular (LOC) has been issued against him. He added that the local SHO was transferred following concerns raised by the family regarding the handling of the case.
He further said that the police official against whom the family had raised concerns for allegedly failing to record their statement has been suspended. Three dedicated police teams have been constituted at the SSP level to trace the accused and investigate the case. The teams are being closely monitored by the SSP, while the matter is also being reviewed at the DGP level.
Dalvir Singh Dhillon said the Punjab Government and the party stand firmly with Neha’s family and are committed to ensuring justice. He said every possible effort is being made to bring those responsible to justice and ensure strict legal action against them.
Appealing to all political parties, Mr. Dhillon urged them not to politicise the tragic death of Neha. “This is not merely the pain of one family; it is the pain of Dhuri and the entire Punjab. At this difficult time, everyone should stand with the bereaved family and support their demand for justice rather than turning the matter into a political issue,” he said.
The Chairman assured the family that all necessary steps would be taken to ensure a fair and thorough investigation and that the accused, once established through due process, would face appropriate action under law. He reiterated that the government would leave no stone unturned to ensure justice for Neha’s family.
