Patiala, October 3:- Under the supervision of Shri Nath Patiala, Patron of the Gas Agency Workers Union (CITU/IFTU), and under the leadership of District President Baljinder Singh Lakhomajra, a protest rally was organised today at Surindra Gas Service in support of workers who, according to the union, have not been paid their wages for the past ten months. The workers had jointly demanded payment of their wages, following which they were allegedly dismissed from service by the owner. Hundreds of workers participated in the protest rally held in opposition to the alleged action.

Surinder Singh Khalsa, leader of the Pensioners Association, participated in the protest along with his colleagues. Mangat Singh, District President of the Technical Service Union (Khanna), also participated along with his colleagues and expressed protest by raising slogans. The stage proceedings were conducted by Avtar Singh Nandpur Kesho, Vice President Satpal Singh, Secretary Surjit Singh, Jaswinder Singh Jassi, Dheeraj Kumar, Raghbir Singh, Simu Singh, Jaipal, Soni and Kulwant Singh. They announced from the stage that the struggle would continue until their demands are accepted.
