Chandigarh, November 23 - On the occasion of the martyrdom of Hind Di Chadar Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the fourth Holy Nagar Kirtan Yatra, which started from the town of Sadora in Yamunanagar district, was set off from Janta Public School in Saraswati Nagar last evening under the leadership of Agriculture Minister Shri Shyam Singh Rana and Yatra Coordinator Gurbaz Singh Sikandra, Bibi Jasvir Kaur and Chairman Rupinder Malli with the chanting of Bole So Nihal Sat Sri Akal to stay overnight in village Jhivarheri.
This Nagar Kirtan Yatra, after a night's rest from Jorio Gurdwara Sahib, reached Radaur via villages Ucha Chandna, Rapoli, Satgoli, Topra Kala, Harnaul Retgarh, Hafizpur, Kunjal Kamboyan, Bedi, Khajuri, Bakana, Radauri Chowk where senior leaders welcomed the Yatra with a shower of flowers and presented saropas.
Speaking on the occasion, Agriculture Minister Shri Shyam Singh Rana said that on the occasion of the 350th martyrdom year of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, four holy Nagar Kirtan Yatras are being taken out in Haryana which will pass through all the districts of Haryana and conclude in Kurukshetra on November 24 where an all-faith conference will be organized.
The next day, on November 25, a grand gathering will be organized in Kurukshetra on the occasion of the martyrdom day of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji in which Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will attend as the chief guest.
He said that Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji made a great sacrifice for the protection of humanity, religion and the country, which must reach every person in the society so that the coming generation can learn from this inspiring history. He said that with the aim of bringing the asceticism and glorious history of the Gurus to the public, the Haryana Government, Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini and the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee are celebrating the 350th martyrdom year of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji in a grand manner across the state.
