Karnal, March 15: A sudden and massive fire broke out on Sunday at the Amani Farm Banquet Hall, located along the National Highway in Karnal. The fire spread with such speed that, within just a few minutes, the entire banquet hall was engulfed in flames and reduced to ashes. The towering flames and plumes of smoke were visible from a great distance, causing panic and commotion throughout the area.
**Fire Tenders Arrive; Efforts to Bring Fire Under Control Continue**
Upon receiving information about the incident, the police and several fire department vehicles rushed to the scene. Approximately 4 to 5 fire tenders are currently engaged in extinguishing the blaze, and efforts to bring the fire under control are ongoing.
**Farm Owners Allege: Fire Brigade Arrived Late**
The owners of the banquet farm stated that they immediately alerted the fire brigade the moment the fire broke out; however, they allege that the fire tenders arrived at the scene with a significant delay. According to them, the fire spread so rapidly that the entire banquet hall was burnt to the ground, resulting in heavy financial losses.
**A Fortunate Coincidence: No Event Was Taking Place**
The farm owners confirmed that at the time the fire erupted, no wedding ceremony or party function was being hosted at the banquet hall. Had any event been underway at that moment, a major tragedy involving loss of life could have occurred.
**Investigation into the Cause of the Fire Begins**
Tarsem, the In-charge of the Sadar Police Station, stated that the police reached the scene immediately upon receiving the report of the fire. Currently, the exact cause of the fire remains unknown. He noted that the blaze has caused extensive damage, with the entire banquet hall having been destroyed. The police have initiated an investigation into the entire incident.
