Chandigarh, September 15:- As part of the Industry-Academia Lecture Week, the Department of Mathematics, Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh organised an expert lecture on “AI Revolution in Engineering: Opportunities, Tools and Applications” at L-26 on September 15, 2026. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Gaurav Kumar, Director, Magma Research and Consultancy Services, Ambala Cantt. The session aimed to familiarise students and faculty members with the rapidly evolving field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its growing significance in engineering and technical applications.
During the lecture, Dr. Gaurav Kumar discussed the transformative role of AI in the field of engineering and highlighted various opportunities emerging from the integration of AI with modern engineering processes. He introduced various AI tools and techniques and explained their potential applications across different areas of engineering. The speaker also emphasised the importance of developing relevant skills and adopting emerging AI-based tools to effectively address real-life engineering problems.
