Hoshiarpur: Following the conclusion of the Sahaj Dhyan Yoga and Happiness Camp—organized by the Art of Living Happiness Center, Hoshiarpur, under the able leadership of Ms. Vandana at the Dechen Chokhor Monastery (Mathistri) in Kullu—the participants further enhanced their joy by exploring the beautiful valleys of Kullu-Manali and the scenic landscapes of Sissu and Jispa in the Lahaul-Spiti district. Departing from Kullu, the group traveled via the Atal Tunnel route to reach Sissu Point, located approximately 40 kilometers from Manali. Amidst the cool breeze, everyone enjoyed activities such as visiting the lake and waterfall, trekking, camping, zip-lining, ATV rides, and nature walks. The Chandra River, which flows near Sissu, is known as the Chenab further downstream; the group took memorable photos while enjoying the icy waters along its banks.
Afterward, while continuing to admire the natural scenery, the group traveled to Jispa, located about 60 kilometers from Sissu. Jispa is a village situated on the Manali Highway along the banks of the Bhaga River in the Lahaul-Spiti district. Hotel accommodations had been pre-arranged by the trip organizers, allowing everyone to settle into their rooms and rest for a while. Hotels in hill stations typically attract visitors with their cool weather and tranquil atmosphere. After dinner, the group enjoyed a bonfire; bonfires offer a uniquely warm and cozy experience in cold regions. Amidst the joyful atmosphere, everyone added to the merriment by singing and performing music.
The next morning in Jispa—situated at an altitude of approximately 10,000 feet above sea level—the participants captured photos of the snow-capped mountains along the Bhaga River and found mental and physical peace during a morning walk. Raghavi, Bhavya, Adisha, Kuldeep, Paramjit, Dr. Sweta, Madhu Ji, Ajay Ji, Kashish, Dr. Kavita, and others were part of this trip.
