Patiala 20 October- On the auspicious festival of Diwali, government and semi-government employees (raw and permanent) under the banner of Class Four Government Employees Union Punjab (1680) here have put forward the demands of employees, pensioners and raw employees from the Punjab government such as regular appointments of services in departments by sharing them, restoration of old pension, release of dearness allowance and its arrears, revival of posts of various categories abolished during the reorganization of departments, release of Rs. 35000/- in the light of the decision of the Hon'ble Supreme Court on minimum pay including allowances, implementation of full pay scale and allowances and payment of pension to regular employees as per the policy of 2023, etc. One and a half dozen demands have been included.
Protest was expressed by wearing black robes against the continuous neglect of the demands of employees, pensioners, and unskilled workers by the Punjab government for four years and the next action will be a “log vehicle march” dedicated to the death anniversary of Baba Saheb Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Ji in Patiala city to awaken the common man government and against the economic exploitation of unskilled workers by contractors.
The prominent leaders who were present on the Black Robe Representative Day were Darshan Singh Lubana, Shiv Charan, Inderpal Walia, Pritam Chand Thakur, Balbir Singh, Paramjit Singh, Mod Nath Sharma, Amar Nath, Raj Kumar Raju, Birpal Singh, Onkar Singh Daman, Daya Shankar, etc.
