Kapurthala (Paigam-E-Jagat):- An extensive meeting of traders and officials from various departments was organized at Sat Narayan Bazaar, Kapurthala, by the Punjab State Traders Commission, which was established by the Punjab Government to promote trade and is functioning under the guidance of the state government.
Officials from departments including the GST Department, District Industries Centre Kapurthala, Municipal Corporation Kapurthala, City Police Station Kapurthala, Labour Department, and District Food and Supply Department Kapurthala attended the meeting along with local traders.
During the meeting, traders engaged in different businesses raised several issues and difficulties they face with various government departments. Addressing these concerns, officials including SDM Kapurthala Major Irwin Kaur (PCS), Sales Tax Officer Bhupinder Singh from the GST Department, Rohit Kumar (GST Clerk), Harkamwal Singh (Programme Manager), Sarbjit Singh from District Industries Centre, Manoj Ratti (Inspector, Municipal Corporation Kapurthala), Tarlochan Singh (JE), R.P. Sharma (Superintendent), City Police Station Head Amandeep Nahar, Vineet Kumar (District Food and Supply Officer Kapurthala) and Harvinder Singh (Labour Inspector) gave satisfactory answers to the traders’ questions and assured them that their issues would be resolved at the earliest.
Kapurthala constituency in-charge Karmbir Singh Chandi and Gurpal Singh Indian also specially attended the event along with their associates.
District Chairman of the GST and Excise Department Kapurthala and internationally known poet Kanwar Iqbal Singh thanked all traders and officials from various departments, including Raman Malhotra, Chairman from the Trade Wing and Assembly Coordinator Kapurthala, for their participation and support.
At the end of the event, heartfelt thanks were also extended to members selected by the Punjab Government for the Halqa Traders Commission, including Harinder Singh Saini, Manjit Singh, Inderjit Singh Bhola, Baljinder Singh Ladi, Anthony, Major Singh, Gaurav Kanda, Mandeep Singh Ghuman, Jaswinder Singh, and Binder, for their cooperation in organizing the meeting.
In his concluding address, the leadership assured traders that the administration would give priority to their concerns and ensure that traders do not face unnecessary difficulties in their work. Apart from traders and officials, several other prominent personalities from the area were also present at the event.
