Hoshiarpur:- The Election Commission of India has issued a letter regarding partial revision in the previously announced program regarding ‘Special Intensive Revision’ (SIR) of voter lists for the state of Punjab. Giving information in this regard, District Election Officer Ashika Jain said that now the draft of voter lists in the district will be published on August 3, 2026.
She said that similarly, the time for submitting objections and claims regarding voter lists has been extended from August 3, 2026 to September 2, 2026. The notice stage/objections and claims will be disposed of from August 3, 2026 to September 28, 2026. The District Election Officer said that the rest of the schedule will remain as per the notification issued on May 14, 2026.
