Hisar: On the occasion of Chaitra Navratri, Bajrang Garg—President of the 'Akhand Jyot Sanstha' (Eternal Flame Organization)—lit the ceremonial *Akhand Jyot* (eternal lamp) during the worship of Goddess Durga at the Shri Prayaggiri Shivalaya Temple Trust. The event witnessed a massive turnout of devotees, each lighting their own individual *Akhand Jyot*. Addressing the gathering, Sanstha President Bajrang Garg stated that during the nine days of Navratri, Goddess Durga descends to the earthly realm to relieve her devotees of their sorrows and tribulations. He emphasized that worshipping Goddess Durga ensures the continued presence of peace, harmony, and prosperity within the homes of her devotees.
At the Shivalaya Trust, daily worship rituals dedicated to the Goddess will be conducted continuously—both in the morning and evening—for nine consecutive days. On the ninth day, special prayers will be offered to Goddess Durga in her various divine avatars, a practice believed to purify both the mind and the soul.
