Chandigarh, July 25:- Under the Drug-Free India Campaign, a public awareness program will be organized with the aim of making the youth and common citizens aware of the ill effects of drugs and motivating them to adopt a healthy and positive lifestyle. In this series, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India is organizing various competitions under the 'Drug-Free India Developed with Youth' campaign under 'My Youth India'.
A spokesperson of the department said that the main objective of these competitions is to increase awareness among the youth about drug-free and to encourage their creative talent. Interested contestants can register by visiting the official portal of 'My India', mybharat.gov.in. The last date for application and registration has been fixed as July 27. He said that youth in the age group of 15 to 29 years can participate in dance, singing, street drama, painting, debate, reel making, slogan writing and poetry writing competitions.
He has appealed to all the eligible youth to participate in these competitions in maximum number and ensure their active participation in this campaign of building a drug-free India and a developed India. He said that the winning contestants will be honored at the district level. Along with this, they will also be provided the opportunity to participate in the state level program.
