Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, September 30:- In accordance with the orders issued by the Punjab and Haryana High Court and the guidelines issued by the Director, Department of Industries and Commerce, Punjab, Chandigarh, the draw for issuing temporary licences to set up temporary firecracker shops on the occasion of Diwali/Gurpurab has been scheduled for October 15 at 12 noon.
District Magistrate Smt. Komal Mittal said that only interested persons from District Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar can download the application form uploaded under “Temporary Licence for Sale of Firecrackers” from the Punjab Government website and submit their applications, along with at least two proofs of residence, at various Sewa Kendras in District Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar from October 5 to October 7, 2026, before 5:00 p.m. Applications received after the stipulated time will not be accepted. It is also clarified that one person can submit only one application. More than one application will not be considered.
