Hansi:— On Friday, SDM Rajesh Khoth formally inaugurated a library established for the primary school students at the Government School in Chanot village. Several dignitaries were present on this occasion, including the village Sarpanch, Himanshu, and the School Cluster Head, Rajbala.
Following the inauguration of the library, SDM Rajesh Khoth addressed the students and villagers gathered in the school auditorium. He stated that libraries are essential not only for adults but also for young students; if children cultivate the habit of studying in a library from an early age, this practice will become deeply ingrained in them during their childhood. This habit, he noted, will prove immensely beneficial to them later in life as they build their careers.
The SDM mentioned that this library was established with the assistance of the 'Prakriti Mitra Samiti' (Friends of Nature Society). It has been stocked with a wide array of informative books, including collections of stories and poetry. A highlight of the event was that, immediately after inaugurating the facility, SDM Rajesh Khoth sat down with the young children and spent nearly half an hour reading engaging storybooks with them. He added that while the library currently houses a substantial number of books, the collection will be periodically expanded to cater to the specific demands and interests of the children. Parents of the students were also present at the inauguration ceremony. During the event, the SDM felicitated students who had demonstrated exceptional talent in the fields of sports and academics, as well as local social workers. He urged parents never to compare their children with others, emphasizing that every child possesses unique talents. He stressed that parents should make a hundred percent effort to identify their children's hidden potential and encourage them to excel. He described the relationship between parents, teachers, and students as a vital triangle in a child's life, thereby placing a significant responsibility on both educators and guardians. He asserted that if they closely monitor the children's activities and provide them with sound guidance, the children will undoubtedly go on to achieve great success in their lives.
During the visit, the SDM also took the time to listen to the grievances and concerns of the local citizens. The SDM assured the citizens that concrete efforts would be made to resolve every issue. During the interaction, he informed them that the district administration is currently formulating a plan to address the problem of waterlogging in the area. He further stated that the wall of the school hall would be made soundproof.
Present on this occasion were Shashikant Yadav (President of the Prakriti Mitra Samiti), Vinod Kumar, Devendra Vyas, Sombir Kalkal, Sunil Duhan, and Balraj Singh, along with numerous other village dignitaries, women, and school staff members.
