Bangana/Una, June 22: The administration has nearly finalized preparations for the historic district-level Piplu Fair-2026, scheduled to be held from June 24 to June 26. Held at the Lord Narsingh Temple on the occasion of Nirjala Ekadashi, the fair will feature religious rituals alongside cultural, sports, and entertainment activities as key attractions.
Sonu Goyal, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Civil) of Bangana and Chairman of the Fair Committee, stated that arrangements for the event are almost complete. The fair will host developmental exhibitions by various departments, sports competitions, performances by local and emerging talents, and cultural evenings.
The fair will commence on June 24 with prayers and a flag-hoisting ceremony at the Lord Shri Narsingh Temple, accompanied by cultural programs. Renowned folk singer Kaku Ram Thakur will perform on June 24, followed by famous singers Kumar Sahil and Sunil Masti on June 25. On June 26, Himachali singers Inshant Bhardwaj and Mohit Garg will perform at Piplu. Additionally, as part of the fair festivities, famous Punjabi singer Gulab Sidhu and 'Nati' artist Kuldeep Sharma will captivate the audience with their performances at the Kutlehar Festival, organized on the evening of June 26 at Bhalet, Bangana.
MLA Vivek Sharma (Vikku) remarked that the Piplu Fair symbolizes the region's folk faith, cultural heritage, and social harmony. He appealed to the local residents to participate in large numbers and enhance the dignity of the fair.
