Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, June 18: District Magistrate Mrs. Komal Mittal has imposed a complete ban on public display of weapons in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar district, exercising the powers conferred under Chapter 11 (Section 163) of the Indian Civil Defense Code, 2023 (46 of 2023) to maintain law and order in the district.
Along with this, there will be a complete ban on songs glorifying weapons or violence. Apart from this, there will be a complete ban on carrying and displaying weapons in public functions, religious places, wedding ceremonies or other functions and the ban will also be applicable on speaking abusive language against any community.
The District Magistrate said that if any person is found violating these orders, whether general or specific, then appropriate legal action will be taken against him.
These orders will be in force from June 11, 2025 to August 10, 2025.
