Nawanshahr:- The "Youth Against Drugs" campaign conducted by Punjab State Legal Services Authority was inaugurated virtually on 06.12.2025 from District Jail, Gurugram by Hon'ble Justice Surya Kant, Chief Justice of India and under the directions received from Executive Chairman, Punjab State Legal Services Authority SAS Nagar and Member Secretary, Punjab State Legal Services Authority SAS Nagar, Hon'ble District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Smt. Priya Sood and CJM-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, SBS. A special campaign "Youth Against Drugs" has been started in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar district under the leadership of Dr. Amandeep Ji, which will run from 06.12.2025 to 06.01.2026.
In this regard, the teams of the District Legal Services Authority went to villages, schools, colleges, and jails to create awareness among the general public under this campaign.
In this regard, on 07.12.2025, an awareness seminar was organized by the paralegal volunteers of the District Legal Services Authority, Mr. Avtar Chand Chumbar, Rabjot Singh Chumbar and Jaswinder Kaur Rani under the "Youth Against Drugs" campaign in village Naura and Sura Pur and a rally was taken out in the village with the support of the villagers and youth to create awareness about drugs. In which the villagers and youth participated in large numbers.
He told that the main objective of this "Youth Against Drugs" campaign and rally is to make the general public and youth aware about staying away from drugs. Apart from this, he gave a message to the younger generation and said that every youth should engage in some work and should avoid bad company and should stay away from drugs.
Youth should participate in as many sports as possible and play sports to live a healthy life. Love should be cultivated, not intoxicated.
