Una, March 10: Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal held a meeting with the district heads of various departments, including Public Works, Jal Shakti, Industries, Health, and Education, in his chamber today (Tuesday) and conducted a detailed review of the progress of major development projects underway in Una district.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the progress of various development projects costing over ?10 crore in the district and directed officials to ensure no negligence in development work and to complete all projects within the stipulated timeframe. He urged officials not to remain confined to their offices but to ensure regular monitoring of development projects in the field to maintain both quality and speed.
The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the drinking water projects being constructed by the Jal Shakti Department, worth approximately ?65 crore, related to the Bulk Drug Park, and directed the concerned officials to expedite the work. Additionally, he discussed the progress of the Pandoga-Tyudi bridge, currently under construction at a cost of approximately ?50 crore, the construction of the Government College, Haroli, at a cost of approximately ?12.5 crore, and the expansion of roads in various assembly constituencies.
Jatin Lal said that ensuring quality and transparency in development projects is the collective responsibility of all officials. He directed that all departments should present updated progress reports of their development works at the upcoming review meeting, so that the status of the projects can be accurately assessed and timely implementation can be ensured.
Assistant Commissioner Varinder Sharma, Superintending Engineer Devanand of the Public Works Department, CMO Una Dr. Sanjeev Verma, Deputy Director Higher Education Anil Kumar, and other officials were present on the occasion.
