Una, March 22: During his one-day visit to the Haroli Assembly constituency on Sunday, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri laid the foundation stones for significant projects worth approximately ?60 crore, focusing on road and sports infrastructure. The realization of these projects will not only strengthen connectivity within the region but also provide the youth with access to modern sports facilities.
The Deputy Chief Minister performed the *Bhoomi Pujan* (ground-breaking ceremony) for the upgradation of the road connecting Jejon Mor to Tahliwal Chowk via Bhai Ka Mor, a project estimated to cost ?48.69 crore. Under this project, a stretch of road spanning approximately 17.5 kilometers will be upgraded. Additionally, three bridges will be constructed over the Palakwah, Kangad, and Badhera streams; this will enhance the road's load-bearing capacity and ensure safer, smoother traffic flow. The development of this road will provide improved connectivity to the Tahliwal industrial area, surrounding rural regions, and the border areas.
Subsequently, the Deputy Chief Minister performed the *Bhoomi Pujan* for a synthetic athletics track project in Roda village within the Haroli region, estimated to cost approximately ?10 crore. Upon its completion, this project will establish Una district as a key hub for athletic talent, providing athletes with access to superior facilities for modern and scientific training.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri stated that the state government is prioritizing the strengthening of infrastructure and the expansion of sports facilities. He noted that improved road connectivity would accelerate industrial activities and facilitate easier commuting for the general public, while modern sports infrastructure would provide the youth with an excellent platform to hone their talents.
Mr. Agnihotri further remarked that the Roda area of ??Haroli is rapidly emerging as a significant hub for development. In addition to the ?10 crore synthetic athletics track, work is currently underway on several other projects in the area, including a Traffic Park, an Automated Testing Center costing ?5 crore, and a Heliport project estimated at approximately ?17 crore. Upon the completion of these projects, the Roda region will establish a new identity as a modern and developed town.
Present at the event were Haroli Sub-Divisional Magistrate Vishal Sharma, senior Congress leader Ranjit Rana, along with Vinod Bittu, Ashok Thakur, Pramod Kumar, Dharampal Chaudhary, Sandeep Agnihotri, Virendra Mankotia, Surekha Rana, Subhadra Chaudhary, Mehtab Thakur, Vikas Vikku, and others.
