Hoshiarpur/Daljit Ajnoha:- In view of the upcoming Assembly elections, all department heads were given detailed training today at the local District Administrative Complex regarding the NextGen DICE portal developed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC). During the training, the District Election Office asked the concerned departments of the district to upload staff details on the portal by October 21.
During the training, experts provided detailed information about the process of uploading election staff data through the NextGen DICE web portal developed by NIC. District Informatics Officer Rinki and Election Tehsildar Ramandeep Kaur informed the departmental officials that after the data is entered on the portal, randomisation of election staff would be carried out through the portal, and election staff would be informed from time to time about rehearsals, training and election duties.
The Election Tehsildar said that the District Election Office would provide the complete data to NIC through the portal so that processes related to election staff could be implemented smoothly from time to time. She said that the entire process related to election staff would be finalised through this web portal, including assigning duties, randomisation, deployment of teams for counting, deployment of micro-observers, preparation of duty orders, attendance reports, preparation of photo IDs and other related tasks.
Ramandeep Kaur appealed to all department heads to ensure that their staff details are uploaded on the NIC portal within the stipulated deadline of October 21.
