Karnal, December 27:- Local residents are outraged over a suspected hotel operating in a residential colony in the city. The residents allege that running a hotel in a residential area is affecting the social environment of the locality and raising serious security concerns. The residents have submitted a written complaint to the police demanding action.

The matter concerns Diwan Colony in Karnal, where a building is allegedly being operated as a hotel. Local residents say that the area is entirely residential and no commercial activity of any kind is permitted there. Despite this, the hotel is allegedly being operated.
**Allegations of suspicious activities:
The colony residents allege that there is a constant influx of outsiders at the hotel, which is spoiling the atmosphere of the area. They say that young girls have also been seen near the hotel on several occasions, raising concerns about the safety of women and children. Some people have also claimed to have video footage, which they are demanding be investigated.
**Local residents' anger:
Brigadier Randhir Singh, Anita, Dr. Geeta, Mahendra Singh, Vikas Gulati, and other residents say that some people visiting the hotel alight at the back and walk to the hotel to conceal their identity. This has created an atmosphere of fear and insecurity among the residents of the colony.

Residents say that such activities are having a negative impact on children. It is alleged that some objectionable reels are also being shared on social media to promote the hotel, which is tarnishing the image of the area.
