Chandigarh, January 26:- Haryana Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini said that there is no difference between what the government says and what it does. Today, Haryana is writing a new definition of strength. Embracing this basic mantra of people's rule, for the people and by the people, Haryana is moving forward at a fast pace, step by step, in line with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's vision of a developed India. The Haryana Government has not only launched new schemes for the upliftment of the poor, but has also ensured that those schemes are implemented effectively on the ground.
The Chief Minister was addressing the people present at a function organized in Gurugram district on Monday on the occasion of 77th Republic Day. The Chief Minister first paid tribute to the martyrs by laying a wreath at the Veer Shaheedi Smarak and then unfurled the national flag. The Chief Minister reviewed the parade of various units including Haryana Police, Women Police, Home Guard and Scouts and took the salute. Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini began his address by paying homage to the immortal martyrs, freedom fighters, the framer of the Constitution Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar and all the members of the Constituent Assembly and said that this Democracy Day, filled with the concept of Vande Mataram and self-reliant India, reminds us of the unity, cultural pride and spirit of self-reliance of the country. Our nation has always been built on the thread of unity, which is reflected in the proud celebration of 150 years of Vande Mataram. Continuing to move forward in the direction of self-reliance, India is today creating a new identity on the world stage, which is a matter of pride and inspiration for every citizen.
**Republic Day - Remembrance of the past and resolution of a bright future
The Chief Minister said that Republic Day is not only a festival of remembering the past but also a grand occasion to see the golden picture of our present and future, which we have preserved in the last 11 years. He said that governments kept changing for decades but the system did not change. With the aim of changing the system, the government had made 217 promises in its resolution in the last assembly elections, out of which 54 promises have been fulfilled in just one year, while work is going on rapidly on the remaining 163 promises. The Chief Minister said that today the state's no-cost, no-slip job policy, online registry system, transparent online transfer policy, literate Panchayats and Antyodaya Abhiyan are being discussed all over the country, which presents a strong and transparent picture of the new Haryana.
**Haryana's important contribution to the progress of the nation
The Chief Minister said that Haryana has an important contribution to the progress of the nation. He said that Haryana has only 1.34 percent of the country's total area and 2.09 percent of the population, but despite this, today the state's contribution to the country's GDP is 3.7 percent. The Chief Minister said that with a per capita income of Rs 3 lakh 55 thousand, Haryana is at the first place among the big states of the country. Haryana is second in the country and first in North India in providing better logistics facilities to industries. Haryana is also the state that has won the most medals in the Olympics and other international sports competitions.
**Haryana has become the first choice of investors from home and abroad
Shri Naib Singh Saini said that it is the result of the government's incentive schemes that today Haryana has become the first choice of investors from home and abroad. In the last 11 years, 12,92,000 small, medium and medium industries have been established in the state, which has provided employment to about 49 lakh people. The Chief Minister said that industry is the backbone of the system and a major medium of employment, therefore, while strengthening the ease of doing business, old rules and complex procedures have been abolished. He said that industrial development is being done in every part of the state with the aim of regional balance - Maruti Suzuki's largest plant in IME Kharkhoda, Suzuki Motorcycle and UN Minda Group's alloy wheel plant are being established.
**Decisive step towards secure future of youth
The Chief Minister said that the government is fully committed to secure the future of the youth and the promises made in this direction have been fulfilled. He said that with the formation of the new cabinet, 24 thousand youth were given government jobs on 17 October 2024, while a total of 34 thousand youth have got employment in the last one year and it has reached 1 lakh 80 thousand in the last 11 years. The Chief Minister said that the government has not limited itself to government servants only but has also laid emphasis on employment security. Along with this, a bill has been passed in the Legislative Assembly on March 26, 2025 to effectively curb the problem of donkey routes so that strict action can be taken against travel agents who engage in illegal and fraudulent transactions.
**Government is empowering women economically, socially and educationally
The Chief Minister said that the vision of a developed India and a developed Haryana is incomplete without the participation of women. He said that this is the decade of women power, which will determine the direction of the country and the state, therefore it is necessary for women to be healthy, safe and economically empowered. Under the Deendayal Lado Laxmi Yojana, 8 lakh 64 thousand sisters and sons are being given assistance of Rs 2100 every month and Rs 441 crore has been distributed so far. To provide relief to poor women, gas cylinders are being made available to 15 lakh families at Rs 500. Various schemes to empower women like ration depot, drone didi, reaching 50 percent of women-led startups, 131 women's cultural centers and free facilities in higher education - show the strong commitment of the government towards this.
**Strong law and order - the foundation of a safe Haryana
The Chief Minister said that the first condition for the progress of any state is a strong law and order there, therefore the security of life and property of every citizen is the first priority of the government. The Chief Minister said that under Operation Hotspot Domination being run since December 1, more than 2200 accused have been arrested, which has effectively curbed drug smuggling and illegal activities. Along with this, more than 6000 arrests were made under the Drug-Free Haryana campaign run last year.
**Farmers are being made progressive with farmer-friendly policies and innovations
The Chief Minister said that farmer welfare is the first priority of the government. He said that Haryana is the only state in the country where all crops are being purchased at minimum price. Due to which Rs 1 lakh 64 thousand crore has been directly deposited in the accounts of 12 lakh farmers till now. E-Bharwai portal has been started for timely compensation for crop damage, under which compensation of Rs 15, 448 crore has been given in the last 11 years. Agriculture has been modernized through technologies like drones, remote sensing, AI-based decision-making system and digital farming, which has been adopted by progressive farmers through structures like net houses and polyhouses.
**Gurugram, the city of Guru Drona - a confluence of education and modernity
The Chief Minister said that he has the honor of hoisting the national flag on the occasion of Republic Day in Guru Drona's city of Gurugram. He said that Gurugram is the city where the combination of Guru Dronacharya's education and modern technology is seen. The presence of more than 250 Fortune-500 companies and a strong startup ecosystem here is proof that extraordinary achievements can be achieved with the right policy and strong intention.
On this occasion, children presented a cultural program. The Chief Minister paid homage to the martyrs and honored people working in various fields. On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced a holiday in all schools on January 27 with an incentive of Rs. 11 lakh to the school students who presented in the cultural program.
