Patiala, August 5:- Former minister and MLA from Samana constituency Chetan Singh Jauramajra has strongly demanded in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha that the proposed solid waste management project of village Dudhar be shifted to another location as village Dudhar and many other villages around it are already facing many problems.
Which include the foul smelling wastewater from the Meen Distillery. The Anti-Dumping Action Committee, which has stood firm against this proposed project, has thanked MLA Chetan Singh Jauramajra for raising its voice against this project in the Vidhan Sabha.
The committee has said that the people of the area have been peacefully and democratically opposing this project for a long time, as they are concerned about the possible impacts on the environment, health, agriculture and future generations. At such a time, it is an encouraging step for the people of the area to make our voice heard in the Vidhan Sabha, the largest democratic institution of Punjab.
The committee has expressed the hope that the Punjab government, while respecting the sentiments of the people, will respect the legitimate demand and find a fair and public interest solution to this issue.
