SSP Sharma said, “Although the email was received by only one school, one or two other schools in the city also dismissed the students and sent them home as a precaution.
He assured that there is no need to panic and an investigation has been started to identify the culprits. He himself reached the spot and reviewed the security arrangements. The police said that scientific and technical investigation is being done to find out from where the email was sent. Cyber ??experts are investigating the IP address, country, state and device through which the threat was sent.
It is worth mentioning that on December 15, 11 schools in Jalandhar and a few days before that, several schools in Amritsar also received such fake threats.
