Hoshiarpur- NSS Unit and Red Ribbon Club of IKG PTU Campus Hoshiarpur organised a blood donation camp in the presence of Professor Dr. Y.S. Brar to encourage students to contribute towards life saving cause. The event received an overwhelming response, a large number of students came forward to voluntarily donate blood and IPS Officer Gazalpreet Kaur, ASP Hoshiarpur Police and Sardar Bahadur Singh (renowned social worker and retired professor) inaugurated the event and motivated students to donate blood.
They said that community service emphasizes the importance of social responsibility. They also shared words of encouragement and explained how blood donation can save lives and is a great act of kindness.
Medical professionals and volunteers ensured that the donation process was conducted smoothly and safely. Health check-ups were conducted to ensure the well-being of the donors. Proper medical facilities, refreshments and post donation care were arranged to provide comfort to all the participants.
The NSS team along with the faculty members and student volunteers played a vital role in efficiently organizing the camp. The event not only helped in collecting sufficient amount of blood for medical needs but also spread awareness about the importance of blood donation.
NSS Incharge Dr. Kulwinder Singh Parmar Assistant Professor, Dr. Sunil Kumar, Dr. Amit Hada, Dr. Barjesh, Dr. Sonu Bala, Dr. Rinku Walia, Puneet Kumar, Rajinder Kumar, Kulveer Singh, Khushwinder, Sarabjit Kaur and other officials were present on the occasion.
