Nawanshahr:- Under the directions received from the Honorable Executive Chairman, Punjab State Legal Services Authority SAS Nagar and Member Secretary, Punjab State Legal Services Authority SAS Nagar, a special campaign "Youth Against Drugs" has been started in District Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar under the leadership of Honorable District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Smt. Priya Sood and CJM-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, SBS Nagar Dr. Amandeep, which ran from 06.12.2025 to 06.01.2026.
In this regard, the team of the District Legal Services Authority is going to every village, school, college, and jail to create awareness among the general public under this campaign. Under this campaign, an awareness seminar was conducted about the ill effects of drugs under the "Youth Against Drugs" campaign at village Phambarda and village Ghari Bharti by para-legal volunteers Baldev Bharti, Jarnail Singh and Simranjot Kaur of the District Legal Services Authority and on this occasion, the villagers and youth also took an oath to stay away from drugs.
Apart from this, the team said that the main objective of the "Youth Against Drugs" campaign is to make the general public and youth aware about staying away from drugs. Apart from this, it was said that the youth should participate in more and more sports and should love sports and not drugs to live a healthy life.
Apart from this, awareness was also created about the campaigns run by the District Legal Services Authority, Child Marriage Free India Campaign, HIV AIDS Awareness Campaign and NALSA Environment Legal Literacy Campaign.
