Hoshiarpur:- As part of the campaign being run by the Punjab government to eradicate the scourge of drugs in the state, an awareness campaign was launched at Tehsil Complex Tanda today. In which Naib Tehsildar Manpreet Singh and Eye Donor Incharge Tanda Bhai Varinder Singh Masiti made people aware of the ill effects of drugs on the human body.
Giving information on this occasion, the Naib Tehsildar said that at present, drugs have become a serious problem, which the government is making every effort to eliminate so that our future generations can be protected from it. On this occasion, State Awardee Bhai Varinder Singh Masiti informed that if a person has got addicted to drugs, he can go to any government hospital in Punjab and get his treatment done, the identity of which will also be kept secret and all this is done completely free of cost in government hospitals.
He appealed to the people to give information about drug addicts to the administration so that they can be treated at the right time and their lives can be saved. On this occasion, besides others, Harminder Singh, Gurdeep Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Harpal Singh B were performing their services with him in this campaign.
