Nawanshahr (Des Raj Bali):- As in previous years, the Senior Citizens Association, Nawanshahr, will organise its annual function to mark International Senior Citizens Day on Friday, October 23, 2026. Sharing the information, Association President S.K. Puri said the function would be held at Bai Ji Di Kutia, Pandora Mohalla, and would begin at 10:30 a.m.
The Deputy Commissioner of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar will attend the function as the chief guest. Senior officials from the Police, Health and Social Security departments will participate as special guests. Various cultural programmes will also be presented with the participation and support of the members attending the function and their family members.
The Association has also made special arrangements for lunch for all attendees. President Puri appealed to all respected members of the Association to arrive at the venue on time along with their family members.
On this occasion, General Secretary Sukhdev Sharma, Vice-President Lalit Ohri, Secretary Husn Lal Bali, Finance Secretary Ashok Sharma and Press Secretary Purshotam Bains, among others, were also present.
