Hoshiarpur:- Under the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain, with the aim of organizing the district level Independence Day celebrations in a dignified and systematic manner, Assistant Commissioner (General) Sumit Mudh held a review meeting today with officers of various departments. In the meeting, taking a detailed stock of the preparations for the ceremony, officers were instructed to complete the assigned responsibilities in a time-bound manner.
Assistant Commissioner Sumit Mudh said that the district level Independence Day celebration will be organized on 15th August at Police Line Ground, Hoshiarpur with full enthusiasm, patriotism and respect. He said that keeping in view the importance of the national festival, no negligence should be done in the preparations and all departments should work in mutual coordination, so that the ceremony can be made grand and memorable.
During the meeting, he reviewed in detail the preparations for the parade, cleanliness of the venue, stage and seating arrangements, invitation to guests, developmental tableaux of various departments, cultural programs, honouring of freedom fighters and martyr families, security arrangements, traffic arrangements, medical facilities, drinking water, electricity and other necessary arrangements. He instructed the concerned officers that all preparations should be completed before the stipulated time limit and each department should also ensure regular monitoring of its work.
Sumit Mudh said that Independence Day is not just a national festival, but an opportunity to pay homage to the supreme sacrifice of the brave freedom fighters of the country. Therefore, every arrangement of the ceremony should be in accordance with dignity, discipline and spirit of patriotism.
Municipal Corporation Commissioner Jyoti Bala Mattu, S.D.M. Hoshiarpur Parampreet Singh, Assistant Commissioner Gurpreet Kaur and officers of various departments were present in the meeting.
