Karnal: Haryana's Cabinet Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment, Krishna Kumar Bedi, arrived as the chief guest at the India International Horticulture Expo and Rice and Grain Expo held at the New Anaj Mandi on Saturday. During the event, he thoroughly inspected the various stalls set up by the Horticulture Department, the Science and Technology Department, and various institutions. He showed particular interest in the modern machinery used in the agricultural sector and sought detailed information from experts about their operation.
Speaking to the media after the expo, Cabinet Minister Krishna Bedi said that such national-level expos prove to be a milestone for farmers and entrepreneurs. The expos provide a common platform for sharing technology and new ideas through stalls from various states. He added that it is the state government's responsibility to encourage the organizers of the expos and the participating farmers and entrepreneurs. Such exhibitions not only provide new direction to farmers but also strengthen the state's agricultural economy.
Responding to a question, the Cabinet Minister took a firm stance on the role of the opposition, stating that if the opposition plays a constructive role, it enhances the country's prestige. Conversely, if the opposition engages in destructive politics, it tarnishes the country's image internationally. Today, the entire world is watching the opposition's behavior.
CEO Pramod Kumar Siroha, Assistant Organizer Balindra Kumar, representatives from various departments and institutions, and a large number of farmers were present on the occasion.
