Hoshiarpur: The 16th Foundation Day celebration of the Maa Nand Annapurna Temple—located in Ekta Nagar—was observed with immense reverence and grandeur by the Shri Nand Annapurna Temple Charitable Society. On this auspicious occasion, the *Shri Harinam Sankirtan Mandali* (devotional singing troupe) from Sukki Choi, Nai Abadi, imbued the atmosphere with a spirit of deep devotion through their *Sankirtan* (congregational chanting). Welcoming the guests, President Ramesh Agarwal and General Secretary Tarsem Modgil addressed the assembled devotees; while providing details regarding the temple's construction and the *Pran Pratishtha* (consecration ceremony) of the Mother Goddess's idol, they stated that all these endeavors were made possible solely through the blessings and grace of Swami Nand Kishore Ji Maharaj.
They further remarked that, under the blessings of Swami Ji, the temple management undertakes initiatives in the social sphere—in addition to the scheduled religious programs—to ensure that the service of humanity goes hand-in-hand with the practice of religion.
The event witnessed the presence of numerous dignitaries, including BJP Mahila Morcha State Secretary Meenu Sethi, Prof. Prashant Sethi, Chairperson Kamaljit Kaur, former Chairperson Advocate Rakesh Marwaha, and prominent social worker Sanjeev Arora, along with Kamal Verma and Jyotsna Vij. Furthermore, a large number of local residents—including Ramesh Sharma, Pt. Omkarnath Sharma, Krishna Gopal Sharma, Manoj Datta, Mukesh Dawar, Mohan Lal Pehlwan, Anurag Kalia, Pramod Sharma, Rajiv Sharma, Vikas Singla, Ashok Kumar, Rajinder Modgil, Dharmendra Sharma, Neel Kamal Sharma, Thakur Krishna Dev, Davinder Walia Guruji, Jagdish Harjai, and Vishal Walia—reveled in the stream of devotion that flowed during the *Sankirtan*. Following the *Sankirtan*, a *Bhandara* (community feast) was organized for all attendees.
