Bhawanigarh, September 9:- The state-level Under-14 boys’ Circle Style Kabaddi competitions under the 70th Punjab State Inter-District School Games 2026–27 concluded successfully amid great enthusiasm and excitement at Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Stadium, Pannwan. The games were organised under the able leadership of District Education Officer (Secondary Education) Mrs Tarwinder Kaur and Deputy District Education Officer Mrs Manjit Kaur.

At the prize distribution ceremony, Mr Gurnam Singh, father of Sangrur MLA Narinder Kaur Bharaj, attended as the chief guest and blessed the winning players. Addressing the gathering, he said that sports instil discipline, mutual cooperation and a healthy lifestyle among young people. He said that every player should enter the field with sportsmanship and complete honesty.

Tournament Convenor Jasvir Singh (DPE) and District Sports Coordinator Mrs Naresh Saini said that a total of 22 teams of Under-14 boys from different districts showcased their sporting skills in the state-level tournament.

Mansa district secured first place, Kapurthala district finished second, and Sangrur, the host team, secured third place. Those specially present on the occasion included overall sports in-charge Principal Parmal Singh Teja (Government Senior Secondary School, Nadampur), Headmaster Sukhwinderpal, Headmaster Sukhdeep Singh, Headmistress Jasvir Kaur Rampura, Satnam Das (DPE), Jastinder Singh (DPE) and Jasvir Singh (Physical Education Lecturer).

The stage proceedings were efficiently conducted by Navkirantpreet Singh Khattra and Amarjot Joshi.
