Hisar/Haryana: A total of 207 units of blood were collected at the annual blood donation camp organized in memory of Anshul Sardana on his death anniversary. Trust President Pankaj Khurana stated that teams from Civil Hospital Hisar and Maharaja Agrasen Charitable Hospital, Agroha, were deputed by the Red Cross, Hisar, to collect blood at the camp.
The team from Agroha, led by Dr. Anu, collected 102 units, while the team from Hisar, led by Dr. Rajkumar, collected 105 units. As is the annual tradition, the camp was inaugurated by Gautam Sardana—Anshul’s elder brother and the outgoing Mayor of Hisar—who paid floral tributes to the late Anshul’s photograph. His team also attended the camp to donate blood.
Hisar Mayor Praveen Popli also visited to encourage the blood donors. Social service organizations from Uklana—including Bharat Vikas Parishad, Lions Club Uklana Pratap, and Rotary Club—as well as the 'Mera Gaon Meri Pehchan Seva Trust' from Prabhuwala, also participated in the event. Uklana Municipal Council Councilor Praveen Gill and the Anshul Smriti Charitable Trust provided juice and fruit to the donors. Mementos were also presented to the blood donors.
Anshul’s father, Desraj Sardana, expressed his gratitude to the donors and commended Anshul’s friends for their efforts to keep his memory alive. Those present on the occasion included Sumit Bhayana, Hemant Chaudhary, Rahul Narang, Deepak Girdhar, Sunny Bhatia, Yogesh Sharma, Mahak Mutreja, Mohit Bhutani, Kapil Narang, Sardar Hardeep Singh, Mahendra Soni, Ashok Garg, Vasu Ahuja, Rupesh Sharma, Jayant Bhatia, Shekhar Sharma, Sahil Narang, Sahil Bathla, Gulshan Bathla, Satish Bharti, Sandeep Dhamija, and Sameer Indora, among others.
