Writer Ripudaman Singh Roop, Senior Vice President of Sarghi Kala Kendra Ashok Bajheri, General Secretary Kuku Diwan and actors Ranjivan Singh, Narinder Nasreen and Riturag of the Sarghi family expressed deep grief over the demise of Shri Ram Arsh and said that Shri Ram Arsh not only raised social concerns and issues of the oppressed classes with seriousness and intensity through his pen, but also made continuous serious efforts for the betterment of literature, culture and language.
The Central Punjabi Writers' Association (Regd.) has expressed deep sorrow over the passing away of renowned Punjabi lyricist and poet Shri Ram Arsh, calling it an unbearable loss for the Punjabi literary world.
President of the association Darshan Buttar, General Secretary Sushil Dosanjh, Senior Vice President Mukhan Singh Kuhar and Permanent Secretary Deep Devinder Singh said in a joint statement that the works of Shri Ram Arsh are a priceless treasure of Punjabi literature. His sensitive and socially concerned songs presented topics like social inequality, poverty and human struggle with deep thought and beauty. The humanitarian messages and social awareness in his poetry had a deep impact on the hearts of the readers.
While paying tribute to Shri Ram Arsh, the association said that his works are the immortal legacy of Punjabi literature and he will always live in the hearts of literature lovers.
