Nawanshahr, August 19- After the ‘Aur Block Bachao Sangharsh Committee’ held a massive protest yesterday with the participation of a large number of panchayats and residents of the area to restore the block, the committee today met the Deputy Commissioner of the district in the form of a delegation and brought to his attention the difficulties faced by the people of the area due to the demolition of Aur Block.
A unanimous memorandum was sent by the people to the Punjab government through the Deputy Commissioner, demanding that this wrong decision be immediately withdrawn.
On this occasion, representatives of political parties, panchayats and social organizations involved in the Aur Block Bachao Sangharsh Committee, including Praveen Banga, Roop Lal Dhir, Raj Kumar Mahal, Buta Singh Mahmudpur, Jathedar Mahinder Singh Hussain Puri, Gurvinder Singh Chhokar, former Sarpanch Manohar Kamam, Ninderpal Sarpanch Mai Ditta, Sarpanch Kamaljit Duggal Aur, Vijay Kumar Gunachour, Bachittar Singh Mahmudpur, Numberdar Kesar Singh Malhi, Sukhwinder Singh Sarpanch Garhi Ajit Singh, Gian Chand Attari, Major Singh Ghataron, Master Harmesh Lal, Nirmal Singh, besides other leaders, also joined the delegation.
On this occasion, the leaders said that legal aspects are also being discussed to save the block Aur so that the struggle can be strengthened from every front.
In the coming days, the struggle will be further strengthened by further expanding the mass mobilization. Every possible effort will be made to carry out the mass movement to restore the Aur Block.
