
MLA Kulwant Singh hands over allotment letters to allottees of 12 taxi stands

Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh said that the demand of the applicants had been going on for a long time, which has been fulfilled today. He said that appointment letters are to be issued to 24 taxi stand allottees, but allotment letters have been issued to 12 applicants today, documents of 3 out of the remaining 12 allottees have been sent for verification and allotment letters will be issued to them soon after the documents of 9 and other necessary conditions are fulfilled.
While congratulating the allottees, he said that the remaining applicants should quickly complete their documents and necessary conditions so that allotment letters can be issued to them as soon as possible. He said that this will also increase the revenue of the government and the city residents will not face any problem in hiring taxis.
MLA Kulwant Singh said that along with development works, the Punjab government is also fulfilling the problems and needs of the people, such as installing CCTV in Mohali. Installing cameras, building chowks on roads to facilitate traffic, dedicating around 250 booths to build motor markets, etc. Apart from this, the Aam Aadmi Party government has waived off household electricity bills up to 600 units, keeping in mind the health of the people, Mohalla clinics have been opened and the facility of health insurance up to Rs 10 lakh for every family is going to start soon.
He asked the representatives of the taxi union to provide good taxi service to the people and taxi drivers should stay in their establishments and do their work honestly while following the instructions of the government. He said that he is always present to resolve the demands and problems of the residents of Mohali. On this occasion, the taxi union demanded that private illegal taxis be stopped in the city and only taxis with yellow number plates be used for taxi service.
