Hoshiarpur- Lok Sabha member Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal and MLA from Chabbewal constituency Dr. Ishank Kumar jointly informed that as per the demand of the residents of the constituency, the Punjab government has approved widening of 4 roads of the constituency to 18 feet, which will be constructed at a cost of more than Rs 9 crore.
Lok Sabha member Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal and MLA Dr. Ishank Kumar said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab government is continuously strengthening the road network of Chabbewal constituency, under which now four more roads will be 18 feet wide. He said that the construction work of these roads will be started soon, on which an amount of more than Rs 9 crore is being spent.
He said that these roads include 7.90 km long road from Bihala-Marula-Saidpur to Bham, 1.38 km long road from Mahilpur-Jejo Road to Chak Nariyal, 2.56 km long road from Mahilpur-Jejo Road to Lalwan and further 1.60 km long road from Mahilpur-Phagwara Road to Kharari. Dr Chabbewal and Dr Ishank Kumar said that the residents of the villages connected by these roads were demanding reconstruction and widening of the roads due to ever increasing traffic.
He said that keeping in view these demands of the people, a project report for reconstruction and widening of roads was prepared and sent to the Punjab Government, which has been approved by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. Dr Chabbewal said that the construction and widening of these roads will not only provide transportation facilities to the people but will also save time in traveling from one place to another and transportation will become easy.

He said that the Punjab government is getting development works done in all the assembly constituencies falling under Hoshiarpur Lok Sabha constituency including Chabbewal constituency and special attention is being paid to quality during these works. 
Dr. Ishank Kumar Chabbewal said that while link roads are being constructed one after another in the Chabbewal constituency, special attention is being paid to widening as many roads as possible from the existing 10 feet to 18 feet.
