
The organization is preparing to hold a protest rally against the CM of Punjab through the DC (To) Patiala.
Patiala 28 August 2025:- Today, through the Punjab Forest Department Workers Union Reg: 11/89, the state leaders Mr. Virpar Singh Bammana, Balvir Singh Mandoli and other colleagues together sent a memorandum to the Chief Minister of Punjab Sardar Bhagwant Singh Mann through the Deputy Commissioner Patiala.
Patiala 28 August 2025:- Today, through the Punjab Forest Department Workers Union Reg: 11/89, the state leaders Mr. Virpar Singh Bammana, Balvir Singh Mandoli and other colleagues together sent a memorandum to the Chief Minister of Punjab Sardar Bhagwant Singh Mann through the Deputy Commissioner Patiala.
The demands listed in the memorandum are that the Punjab government should either bring a new policy to the workers working in the department for a long time and regularize all the daily wage workers of the Forest Department unconditionally for three years.
Those workers who have been working for three decades but have not completed 10 years of continuous service should be exempted from this service and all the workers should be made permanent. As long as the raw daily wage workers are not made permanent. Until then, the minimum wage should be increased to Rs 25,000 per month. Departmental work should be increased. MGNREGA scheme workers should not be asked to work in departmental strips, beta nurseries and plantations.
The salaries withheld from January 2025 and some workers and all workers from May 25 should be released immediately, work should be done through the contract system in the department should be stopped.
Regarding these demands, it has been decided to hold a protest dharna and rally in front of the Chief Minister's constituency and residence on August 30, 2025 at Sangrur. In which all the workers of the Forest and Wildlife Protection Department of Punjab will mobilize for their legitimate demands and protest vigorously.
Present at the time of submitting the memorandum today were Harcharan Singh Pradhan, Harpreet Singh Lochma Rajpura, Gurpreet Singh Nabha, Satnam Singh, Ram Kishan Ghagga, Balbir Singh Patran, Gartez Singh Ghanaur, Lajwant Kaur Pradhan Samana Range and Amritpal Singh, Charanjit Singh Sirhind.
