
Sadar Kurali Police Station Apprehends Fugitive Wanted for 10 Years
Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, August 19, 2025: In compliance with the directives issued by SSP Harmandeep Singh Hans to apprehend long-standing fugitives, under the guidance of Manpreet Singh, Superintendent of Police (Rural), District S.A.S. Nagar, the Sadar Kurali Police Station has achieved success in arresting a wanted accused who had been declared a fugitive for 10 years in a case.
Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, August 19, 2025: In compliance with the directives issued by SSP Harmandeep Singh Hans to apprehend long-standing fugitives, under the guidance of Manpreet Singh, Superintendent of Police (Rural), District S.A.S. Nagar, the Sadar Kurali Police Station has achieved success in arresting a wanted accused who had been declared a fugitive for 10 years in a case.
Providing details, Mohit Kumar Agarwal, Superintendent of Police, Sub-Division Kharar-2 (Mullanpur), District S.A.S. Nagar, stated that a special team constituted to apprehend fugitives, led by Inspector Navdeep Sharma, Station House Officer of Sadar Kurali Police Station, District S.A.S. Nagar, comprising ASI Tilak Raj, Head Constable Gurpreet Singh, and Senior Constable Gurinder Singh, achieved a major breakthrough.
On August 18, 2025, they apprehended Amandeep Singh alias Bunty, son of Sham Lal, resident of Village Tiaur, Sadar Kharar Police Station, District Mohali, who had been a fugitive for 10 years in connection with Case No. 103, dated July 12, 2011, under Section 379 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), registered at Kurali Police Station, District Mohali.
Additionally, the accused/fugitive was also wanted in Case No. 145, dated August 24, 2016, under Section 224 of the IPC, registered at City Rupnagar Police Station, where he had remained a fugitive until now. The accused will be presented in court, and further interrogation will be conducted thereafter.
