
Government taking steps towards self-reliance through cooperation.
Chandigarh, September 8 - Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini said that the state government is continuously taking concrete steps towards women empowerment. The Chief Minister directed that the distribution of vita booths should be done on priority basis to women, so that they can become economically self-reliant.

He said that the places for these booths should be identified soon and up to 50 percent reservation should be ensured for women in them. Similarly, the process of formation and operation of Mahila CM Pex can also be taken forward rapidly so that rural women can be organized and participate in economic activities.
Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini chaired a high-level review meeting of the Cooperation Department at the Chandigarh Civil Secretariat on Monday.
The Chief Minister said that all the government banks of the state should be connected with modern IT facilities so that farmers and consumers can get transparent, effective and timely service payments and subsidy amount of schemes like Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi should be directly connected through cooperative banks.
He directed that the process of registration of new CM packs should be made more simple and transparent. The Chief Minister said that sugarcane harvesting machines should be provided to farmers at low rent through cooperative sugar mills, which will reduce both labor and cost of sugarcane consumers and increase production.
The Chief Minister also directed that the number of Jan Dai Kedarnas should be increased in the state so that quality medicines can be easily available to the common man at affordable prices.
On this occasion, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Arun Kumar Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary of the Cooperation Department Mr. Vijender Kumar, Registrar of the Cooperation Department Mr. Rajesh Jogpal, OSD to the Chief Minister Mr. Bharat Bhushan Bharti and other senior officials were present.
