Hoshiarpur- Dr. Pallavi Pandit, Principal of Riyat and Bahra College of Education, Hoshiarpur, shared her views on the New National Education Policy (NEP) and the current education system during a special meeting with Senior Journalist Sanjeev Kumar.
During the conversation, Dr. Pallavi Pandit said that the National Education Policy (NEP) is a step that leads to the all-round development of students, skill development and multi-specialty education. She said that this policy is helpful in developing critical thinking, creativity and real life skills in students.
She also said that the preparation and continuous professional development (teacher training) of teachers is the need of the hour, so that teachers can provide a future-oriented education to students as per the New Education Policy. Dr. Pandit said that Reyat and Bahra College is adopting new methods in this direction and the curriculum is being implemented as per the guidelines of NEP.
The conversation ended with the idea that cooperation between teachers, educational institutions and the media is very important to inform the society about the changes coming in the education sector.
