Amritsar- In the cross-border drug smuggling case, the Amritsar Commissionerate Police has recovered eight kg 187 grams of heroin and information about five smugglers was shared by DGP Punjab Gaurav Yadav on his social media account.
He said that during the ongoing investigation in this case, five members have been arrested, including a smuggler Soni Singh alias Soni. Against whom several criminal cases have been registered.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that hotels were being used as smuggling dumps to forward the consignments in this syndicate network. He said that further investigation is underway to identify the supply chain network and other people involved in this entire case.
To make more disclosures in this regard, a press conference has also been called by Amritsar Commissionerate Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar. In which more revelations regarding this case will be made.
