Chandigarh;- Vishwa Punjabi Prachar Sabha Chandigarh and Vishwa Sahitya Sitare Manch Tarn Taran are organizing a joint literary felicitation ceremony and Kavi Darbar on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Saini Bhawan, Sector 24, Chandigarh (opposite Batra Theatre).
In addition to the launch of the book "Do Teriyaan Do Meriyaan," edited by renowned author Pandit Bahadur Singh Gosal, renowned Punjabi author Giani Harbhajan Singh Dagrath will be honored with the "Maan Punjabi Da Award," along with eminent authors from both organizations and the 42 authors of the book.
The chief guest of the event will be Shiromani Children's Literature Awardee Dr. Darshan Singh Aasht, while the program will be presided over by Dr. Balbir Singh Dhol, PCS (Retd.), former DPI Punjab. Renowned Hindi writer Prem Vij will be present as a special guest, and the presidents of both organizations will be on the executive boards. A booklet on the book will be read by Mr. Raj Kumar Sahowalia, former Deputy Secretary, Government of Punjab.
The Kavi Darbar will feature poets from across the Tricity region, as well as eminent poets from Tarn Taran. A program to honor all the office bearers of the Literary Stars Forum of Tarn Taran has also been planned by the Vishwa Punjabi Prachar Sabha, Chandigarh.
