Awareness workshop on MSME empowerment held in Una.

Una, October 6 – The Industries Department of the Himachal Pradesh Government organized a one-day awareness workshop for micro, small, and medium enterprises at the District Rural Development Agency, Una. The workshop aimed to strengthen the MSME ecosystem in the state, encourage technology adoption, enhance competitiveness, and promote sustainable industrial practices.

Una, October 6 – The Industries Department of the Himachal Pradesh Government organized a one-day awareness workshop for micro, small, and medium enterprises at the District Rural Development Agency, Una. The workshop aimed to strengthen the MSME ecosystem in the state, encourage technology adoption, enhance competitiveness, and promote sustainable industrial practices.
Over 65 participants from Una district participated in the workshop, including representatives from industrial units, local artisans, and members of farmer producer organizations. Pramod, President of Gagret Industrial Area, and Suresh, General Secretary, were also present.
Addressing the workshop, Rachit Sharma, General Manager, Industries Department, Una, stated that the department is providing advanced technology, modern machinery, and equipment to enterprises at the cluster level under the cluster system. These facilities are being provided under the Cluster Development Program. He also provided information on the MSME greening initiative and highlighted the importance of adopting environmentally friendly industrial processes and increasing energy efficiency.
During the program, departmental officials provided participants with detailed information about the various components of the SPICE Scheme, GIFT Scheme, and MSE-CDP. In addition, detailed discussions were held on the MSME Performance Improvement Plan, cluster-based development, and strategies for greening industries based on the circular economy.
Participants described the workshop as extremely useful and informative and said it would help empower the MSME sector through modern equipment, technical resources, and sustainable industrial practices.
